Etwas verspätet kommt heute ein Blogpost über das Vorbereitungsseminar, dass am 12.12.2015 an der Düsseldorfer Heinrich-Heine-Universität stattfand. Zumal ich in der letzten Zeit einiges an Klausuren schreiben musste, die Ausschlaggebend für das kommende Zeugnis sind, von dem auch meine Beurlaubung für das halbe Jahr abhängt, kam ich bei bestem Willen nicht dazu genaueres darüber zu berichten.
Das Seminar fing simpel an mit Information zu der Versicherung und Dingen, die mir vorher schon bewusst waren. Es ging um die Flugbuchung, das zugelassene Gepäck, Zoll, Verhaltensrichtlinien und Ideen für Gastgeschenke. Außerdem wurden Themen wie Taschengeld und somit das Erstellen eines Kontos und Handy Tarif fragen geklärt. Dann kam der Englisch Test. Der so genannte SLEP Test war an sich nicht besonders schwer, nur einige Situationen machten keinen Sinn. Es war also keine große Hürde nur ich weiß leider nicht ob ich bestanden habe oder nicht, aber ich bin zuversichtlich! So viel dazu.
Außerdem habe ich mit einigen Leuten Gesprochen, die bereits ihre Gastfamilie haben. Was ich für unvorstellbar hielt war einfach die Tatsache, dass es bei einigen schon Anfang Januar los geht. Ich rechnete die ganze Zeit mit einer Ausreise mindestens im Februar, aber das ganze Thema ist schon so nah und ich habe eigentlich kaum noch Zeit in Deutschland. Unglaublich!

Today, a little too late, I decided to publish a blogpost about the seminar I visited for preparation on December 12th in Düsseldorf. I didn't have any spare time lately because of finals I had to study for on whom my leave of absence depends so that I couldn't write about it by no stretch of the imagination.
The seminar started pretty simple with information about the insurance and things I knew about before. For example the booking of the flight, the allowed luggage, guidelines and ideas for presents for the host family. Besides we were informed about the pocket money and the tariffs for our mobile phones. Then we had to write the English Test. The so called SLEP test wasn't that hard and I beliebe I did a good job. i don't know anything about the results yet but I am convinced that it can't be too bad.
Besides I talked to a few other exchange students who already knew about their host family. What was striking was that some departures would be in the beginning of january and that was unimaginable to me given the fact that I thought of February as the first possible date for the flight. I can't imagine that there is almost no time left in Germany. Unbelievable!
